Shipwrecked Watch Company
Founded by Andrew, Shipwrecked Watch Company draws inspiration from years spent working aboard military support and naval salvage vessels around the world. After discovering mechanical watches during a deployment in Hawaii, Andrew developed a deep appreciation for horology that eventually merged with his experiences sailing some of the world's most demanding waterways.
Serving aboard the USNS Grasp (T-ARS 51), one of the U.S. Navy's dedicated salvage and rescue vessels, exposed him to a world of maritime history, recovery operations, and life at sea. From the rough waters of the North Sea to deployments through the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, those experiences became the foundation for a watch brand built around the spirit of exploration, resilience, and nautical heritage.
Established in 2025, Shipwrecked Watch Company focuses on producing distinctive timepieces inspired by maritime history and adventure. Their collections often feature nautical themes, vintage influences, and design elements that reflect the rugged environments that inspired the brand. Rather than chasing trends, Shipwrecked aims to create watches that feel personal, collectible, and capable of becoming future heirlooms.
What stands out to us at Metropolis Watches is the authenticity behind the brand. Shipwrecked isn't built around a fictional backstory or manufactured heritage. The company's identity comes directly from real experiences at sea, giving each collection a sense of purpose and character that resonates with enthusiasts who appreciate meaningful design.
For collectors looking for a microbrand with a genuine story, maritime inspiration, and a growing catalog of distinctive releases, Shipwrecked Watch Company is a brand worth exploring.
